Honors and Illnesses:
Past District Governor Steve Thorpe passed away April 3. Arrangements are pending at Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo. Steve was a dedicated Rotarian and was responsible for the Shoe Box Project, delivering supplies to the Children of the Dump in Chinendega, Nicaragua, as well as other humanitarian projects.
The Ackersons celebrated the birth of a grandson Cohen Hayes Ackerson born March 29 to Caleb and Cheyenne Ackerson.

Easter Egg Hunt Sucess! Thanks to all who volunteered to be Easter Bunnies! The event sold out and was great fun for all.
Depot Goal Reached -The Save the Depot project is proud to announce they have reached their goal to raise enough funds to move the structure. They will now be calling due pledges including the pledge from our Club. They also will begin the next phase of fundraising to renovate and repurpose the building. Watch for more updates on this project this summer!
April Meal Sign Up - As we resume the in-person meeting option, we will return to having members sign up for lunches until we have a better idea of our regular meeting attendance. At this time, boxed lunches will be provided by Hy-Vee. You also may bring your own lunch if you prefer.
Meal sign-ups must be entered by 10 AM on FRIDAYS before each meeting. You will be billed for the meals you sign up for.
Cookbook Recipes- We are asking all members to submit 5 of their favorite recipes and email them to Marcie Andrews at deanandmarcie@gmail.com. We need 200 recipes for a variety of food or beverage.
