- FCMC hosted an exciting ribbon cutting for their newly completed $40 million expansion and renovation project.
Announcements:
- Seating at Sportsman's Park Playground - Members of the club recently completed assembly of a set of benches and shade cover for the accessible playground area at Sportsmen’s Park. This project was made possible with fundraising and a district grant.
- Party in the Park Popcorn - We are covered for this week, but need volunteers to sell popcorn at the August 7 Party in the Park! Shifts are 5-7pm or 7-9pm. Grab a friend and come enjoy the night at Party in the Park!

- Radio Auction Partners - The board is looking for partnership ideas for the 2027 Rotary Radio Auction. Share your recommendations with President Tammy or a board member.
- Please be sure to sign up by noon on Fridays! We are excited to be in a season with lots of guests joining us. Please be sure to add yourself and any guests (other than the program). We need an accurate count so we have enough meals for our members and guests. Not sure if you will make it? It is better to put your name on the list by noon Friday and take it off later if needed. The weekly menus are also shown on the sheet.

Program: This week's program was presented by Tim Fox, CEO of the Charles City Area Development Corporation, with updates on the latest housing and business expansions in the community. Housing includes the opening of the Collective on 13th affordable housing and the groundbreaking for The Union Place workforce housing. Business developments include a major expansion at Cambrex Charles along with a number of small businesses starting or expanding. CCADC also spearheaded a wage enhancement program with TLC The Learning Center to support the staff providing critical childcare services.
