FCMC received the decision from the Iowa Supreme Court regarding the estate of Herman Stille with he Court upholding the decision of the First Judicial Court of Iowa and affirming that more than $10 million from Mr. Stille’s estate will be awarded to FCMC to support the construction of a cancer center!

Friends Garden Work Day: Tuesday, May 12 at 5pm- Our spring work day at the Friends Garden trailhead will include cleaning up debris and spreading fresh mulch. We also will need to stain the arbor. Parking Lot Clean Up: Friday, May 15 at 5:15pm - It's once again time to help with downtown parking lot cleanup! As part of the spring communitywide day of services, we will clean the parking lot at the Community Center (fka the Senior Center) Friday, May 15 at 5:15pm. Bring brooms and scoop shovels or leaf blowers if you have them. It shouldn’t take long! Signup here so we have a headcount:
Party in the Park Popcorn - Once again this year, volunteers are needed to sell popcorn at Party in the Park events! Shifts are 5-7pm or 7-9pm. Grab a friend and come enjoy the night at Party in the Park!
District Conference Report - President Larry gave an update from the District Conference held last weekend. The event featured a variety of speaks and topics, and District Governor Ward Budweg passes the torch to District Governor Elect Jeff Halverson
Youth Exchange Update - Vivian Soifer will be headed to Rotary District 1842 in Germany
RYLA Applications Available - If you know a high school student who would benefit from attending RYLA, send them to District5970.org to find program details and fill out an application for the summer of 2026 RYLA event!
Please be sure to sign up by noon on Fridays! We are excited to be in a season with lots of guests joining us. Please be sure to add yourself and any guests (other than the program). We need an accurate count so we have enough meals for our members and guests. Not sure if you will make it? It is better to put your name on the list by noon Friday and take it off later if needed. The weekly menus are also shown on the sheet.
